My name is Emyr Evans, I have an honours degree in Applied Physics and a Post Graduate Certificate in Education (specialising in Physics and Maths). I started my career as a secondary school teacher before going into industry. I also lectured pre-university physics for a while. In the last 6 years I’ve returned to tutoring and had a great time getting the best from them during either face-to-face and on-line sessions in maths and physics up to A level – all my students have achieved great results in their examinations.
My eldest daughter started her education in a Montessori pre-school near Kildare in Ireland and their structured, but fun, teaching philosophy has created IMHO a well-rounded, confident, capable and creative individual who has recently finished her first year studying Engineering in Cambridge!
I was therefore aware of the successes of Montessori teaching method, but only recently realised the potential of this training philosophy to bring a more interesting and comprehensive learning experience to my students. Since completing my Montessori Initial Tutor Training (MITT) I can now provide fantastic lessons instead of great lessons – ones that get the students engaged.
“My daughter’s tutor helped her to feel much more confident in her own ability. He worked through areas that she had previously struggled with and was able to explain things in a way that she found easy to understand. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Emyr.” – Parent, May 2020
